The Principality of Upper Hungary〔(Hadtörténelmi közlemények, Volume 118, Issues 3-4 ), Hadtörténeti Intézet és Múzeum, 2005, p. 409〕 (in Hungarian: ''Felső-Magyarországi Fejedelemség'', in Turkish: ''Orta Macar'') was a short lived Ottoman vassal state ruled by Imre Thököly. It was established on 19 November 1682.〔J.
